What size are your wood pellets?
Our pellets are 6mm in diameter with length being up to 5 times the diameter with max 20% by weight up to 7.5 times diameter. This conforms to CEN/TS14961:2005
Where are your pellets produced?
All Raymon Bioenergy pellets are produced in Iran. We have our own wood pellet manufacturing facility at our head office in Saravan, Rasht.
Are all wood pellets the same quality?
Definitely not! Even pellets manufactured within DD CEN/TS 14961:2005 standard can have moisture content up to 25%, ash content above 6% and fines greater than 2%. In addition the raw material used to manufacture wood pellets can vary from clean sawmill residues (as Raymon Bioenergy Pellets) to reclaimed timber that can include chipboard, etc.
What delivery area do you cover?
For all wood pellet products we can deliver small or large quantities economically throughout Europe, Turkey and India.
Questions about Fuel Pellets:
To what specification are your wood pellets?
Our pellets are manufactured to conform to DD CEN/TS 14961: 2005 (a standard to be adopted by the EU).
|D06 Diameter||<6mm +0.5mm and length <5 x diameter|
|Calorific Value 18056||>18500 KJ/KG Nett Calorific Value|
What is the Ash Content of your wood pellets?
The ash content varies depending on where the timber is grown. Our pellets have less than 1% ash content. A recent analysed sample gave a result of 0.6% ash content.
Can all makes of pellet boilers and stoves burn the same quality fuel?
This is a question that should be addressed by the stove manufacturer/installer. Our experience shows that some stoves require higher grade fuel than others. Raymon Bioenergy monitor fuel production and stocks to ensure we supply the most suitable fuel for your appliance.
How do I get dust in my pellets?
Wood pellets are manufactured from compressed sawdust and finely milled timber, when they begin to break down it?s to this form they return. Every time pellets are handled they create more dust so it is important to keep handling to a minimum. The CEN/TS 14961:2005 standard measures the amount of fines (dust) at the last possible place in the production line. Pellets that are imported or handled many times may still be within the standard (measured at factory) but are likely to have far more dust when reaching the end user. This is another reason why Ecowood only sell pellets produced in Iran. Poorly maintained delivery vehicles and/or unskilled drivers can also produce dust when bulk blowing.
What are bedding/cat litter pellets?
Ecowood bedding/cat litter pellets are produced by compressing course sawdust through holes in a metal ring. Friction generated during the manufacturing creates heat that in turn releases the natural lignums within the dust to act as glue.
Can I use fuel quality pellets for bedding or cat litter?
We recommend that only pure and clean softwood be used for the manufacture of pellets for bedding and cat litter. Fuel pellets can be manufactured using hardwood residues or reclaimed timber products which may contain toxins that are harmful to your animals and pets.
